Off-The-Shelf Google Analytics E-commerce Solutions

For a shop site built on a standard platform like Magento, WooCommerce, Shopify or Big-commerce, the most sensible approach to implementing e-commerce is to use one of the many plug-ins or extensions that are available.

These provide the quickest and most economical way of getting an e-commerce tracking solution onto your shop site.

However, they are designed to be a general fit to as many scenarios as possible, and straight out of the box rarely fulfil all tracking requirements and do not always provide the quality of data needed.

For most websites, they are best viewed as a starting point, rather than a finished product.

These standard solutions are rarely plug and play, and all require set-up and testing; albeit far less than a custom implementation would require.
